Mission & Project Beneficiaries

This project aims to assist underserved and at-risk youth in the communities where I live.

Having lived primarily in developing or economically and socially unequal countries for much of my life has challenged me to find ways to assist.  I began by volunteering periodically at a food bank and shelter for immigrant families near my home in Washington, D.C.  From there, my family moved to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.  Learning about the region’s difficult recent history with femicide and the resulting vulnerable population of young girls drove me to go beyond volunteering.  I researched and found the Casa Eudes shelter run by a group of nuns who care for victims of trafficking and violence.

After visiting the shelter, I decided to start a non-profit to raise in-kind donations. In less than two years, Youth4Youth International raised several thousand dollars and purchased hygienic goods, health care and cleaning products, and clothing for the shelter.  After moving to Frankfurt, Germany, Youth4Youth International has partnered with the U.S. Marines to deliver toys to refugee children and raised money for educational items and volunteered with the Kalahari Experience as a teacher and tutor in rural South Africa.

This website serves as a platform to inform about my efforts to assist and solicit in-kind donations for underserved and at-risk youth wherever I live.

How can you Help?

About the Project Director:

My name is Cesar and I created Youth4Youth International when I was 14-years-old and living in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, on the border with the United States. Prior to this, I lived in Washington, D.C., where I volunteered periodically at the Central Union Mission and Capital Area Food Bank.

Several of the eight countries in which I have lived are less developed and face gross economic and social inequalities.

Seeing how children my age are forced to deal with poverty and fewer opportunities motivated me to use my voice, social network, and efforts to assist youth in these countries. With your help, we can assist those kids most in need. My name is Cesar Miranda and this is My Mission.
